There are many stress factors in our lives (pressure, fights, overworking etc.) and we all have stressful days, it’s a normal part of life. But being overwhelmed by it can cause many side effects. Stress is a way in which your body reacts when these factors hit us. How is this related to electrolysis?
Well, stress puts a lot of demand on the adrenal system. Part of which produces steroids, which in their turn can cause characteristics to show on your body. This may also include unwanted hair growth.
There are lots of ways to cope with stress and the issues caused by it; medical and natural ways help relive the symptoms. Stress Awareness Day is a great opportunity to take a moment to think about your wellbeing and ways that help you manage it, especially today. Let’s go through a few of them to help you feel better, look better and be a healthier you!
First and foremost, change your negative mindeset! Stop thinking you don’t have time to relax and manage stress! We spend our days rending to urgent matters that seem more important and forget about ourselves. And the more we do that the less efficient we become. So make sure you take some time for yourself. This can help you recharge and relax.
Try Yoga or meditation! During these techniques you will take several deep breaths, which will help oxygenate your blood, to center your body, and clear your mind.
Even exercising for a few minutes can help you get that tension off. No need for heavy lifting or strong gym time. Simply walking around the office or hiking in the park for a few minutes might help. It will get your blood moving and release endorphins improving your mood almost instantly.
Listen to a music or your favorite song for a few minutes or during your lunch break. This has a positive effect on your mind and body and will most likely lower your blood pressure.
Watch what you’re eating! We often forget to eat well when we’re under pressure and resort to easy, fatty snacks and foods. Try to avoid sugary foods and plan balanced meals ahead. Fruits and vegetables are always good for you. Don’t forget the right kind of protein to accompany it.
Take tea break instead of coffee. Large doses of caffeine cause a short-term spike in blood pressure. Try some green tea instead in the morning or during the day. It contains healthy antioxidants, has a calming effect on your mind and body and has much less caffeine.
Talk it out! If you are having problems at work or in your relationship try talking to a friend. Venting helps you release some tension as well and, who knows, maybe you’ll get some good advise out of it.
Watch some comedy with friends or at home. Laughter releases endorphins and that will lighten your mood and decrease levels of the stress-causing hormones cortisol and adrenaline and make you feel happier.
Most importantly, manage your stress while its happening. Rethink your priorities and take a short time to breath and try to let go of all negative thinking.
If you know the source of your stress (relationship issues, work, kids etc.). Set aside some time every day to think of a solution, manage the problem, disguss the issue etc. Planning things ahead might make you feel more ready and relaxed, and bring about a sense of inner peace.
Whatever you choose to do, take the time you need and let yourself have a day of freedom. Don’t let stress take control over your life.
