MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDER: Big Word Little Issues

Musculoskeletal disorders or MSDs for short, are very common conditions associated with any injury, damage or pain affecting your muscles, bones, and joints. These conditions might also develop due to work, stress and lack of activity (related to sitting habits or work). The risk of developing them increases with age.

How severe this can be, varies from one person to another. But, generally they just cause pain and discomfort that interferes in your day to day activities.

Why de we ask about this?

Same as stress or menstrual cycles, your level of tolerance might be weak and you might feel more discomfort as you are more sensitive to pain. You also might have taken aspirin, ibuprofen or any other over the counter medicine that might affect your treatment otherwise. So if you have any unusual pain in your joints or muscles, know that you will feel a little more discomfort and Electrolyisis might only stress this condition further. So, make sure you rest well before your treatment and avoid taking any aspirin beforehand if it can be helped.

Example of MSD’s:

  • Tendinitis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (may be caused by, craftwork, using keyboard, playing instrument etc.)
  • Arthritis
  • Bone Fracture
  • Back pain
  • Tennis Elbow
